November 8

November 8th bus 436
The days are getting just a little bit darker. The sun is no longer up as i drag myself out of bed in the morning so that i can catch the bus to school. But yet i thought this would be a day filled with longning to sleep and be at home with my sister who is back for the week. But alas I get to learn and it is great. Gwen and hwen are on the bus just being their usual chatty kathys with one another. And it seems we have a new addition to our daily bus ride. I call her stephanie and she reminds me of the typical young elementary girl. She is on the bus when i get on and gets off rather quickly. Quickly being she gets off where roger and amanda get on. Her hair is usually done up in a double pony tail with a decorative hair band to match the elementary kid look. O elementary a time when you were excited to see your school friends, learn some things from your favorite teacher, then rush off to recess to use your brilliant imagination to create worlds and games that parents just dont understand. On tuesdays when i take the bus i go by an elementary school in full swing of reces and it is in a word wonderful. Kids just being kids. Sort of makes me long for camp where the kids aren't worried about anything other than when do i get to play and for how long. It is really disheartening now to drive by the high school and see the teens who have lost that innocence of youth. Instead of filling their minds with imagination and creativity they fill it with drugs and alchol they exchange the great time of a child for what they think are the great times of an adult. Smoking outside the mac's all in a big group. “No one can touch them.” I wish they would find Jesus maybe in a youth group or a school teacher but there needs to be more witnesses to them cause they are the new generation coming up. It is a generation being brought up by more and more lax morals till i fear what kind of generation they will rise up. We need to pray more and more not just for ourselves and Mrs. Johnsons toe but for out neighbors and for the schools that Satan has so deeply infultrated. Pray for the children and generations to come.
